Frequently asked questions

What is the STC3192 O-ring used for?
The STC3192 O-ring seals the pipe and hose unions through the air conditioning system, including the condenser and evaporator connections, against refrigerant and compressor oil pressure.
Where in the air conditioning system is it used?
It's used at the unions across the refrigerant circuit, from the condenser and evaporator connections to the hose runs between them, sealing each joint between the machined union faces.
Can the O-ring be reused?
No. It's a service item, so renew it whenever a connection is broken and lubricate it with the correct refrigerant oil before assembly.
Which vehicles does the STC3192 fit?
It fits the Land Rover Defender (1987-2006), Discovery 1 (1989-1998) and Range Rover Classic (1992-1994) with air conditioning. Use your VIN to confirm the specific application.
