Carterpakking voor de Rover V8 4.0 en 4.6 benzinemotor, voor het afdichten van het oliecarter aan de onderkant van het cilinderblok.

Dit is de rubberen pakking uit één stuk, die de volledige omtrek van de carterflens afdicht en de eerdere kurk- en kitopstelling vervangt. Het houdt de motorolie vast die in het carter zit en voorkomt lekkage bij de verbinding tussen blok en carter. Vervanging is nodig telkens wanneer het carter wordt verwijderd.

The LVF100400 is a sump gasket for the Rover V8 engine. It seals the join between the sump pan and the engine block, keeping engine oil sealed in the bottom of the engine. This is a genuine Land Rover part, also referenced as LVF10040.
Which vehicles use the LVF100400 sump gasket?
The LVF100400 fits the 4.0 and 4.6 Rover V8 in the Discovery 2 (1998-2004) and Range Rover P38 (1994-2001). It seals the sump on these petrol V8 engines. One gasket does the full sump pan.
When should the sump gasket be replaced?
Replace the LVF100400 sump gasket whenever the sump is removed, or when oil weeps from the sump-to-block joint. The old gasket hardens and loses its seal over time. Fitting a fresh gasket on refit prevents oil leaks from the bottom of the engine.
