Koelvloeistof expansietankdop geschikt voor 1,4 bar, gemonteerd op het expansievat (overlooptank) van het motorkoelsysteem.

De dop dicht het expansievat af en reguleert de systeemdruk. Het houdt de koelvloeistof onder druk om het kookpunt te verhogen, terwijl een overdrukventiel overtollige druk afvoert zodra deze de 1,4 bar overschrijdt, ter bescherming van het vat en de slangen. Een geïntegreerd vacuümventiel zuigt koelvloeistof terug uit de overloop als het systeem afkoelt en samentrekt.
