Frequently asked questions

What does the LR001689 DAB amplifier do?
The LR001689 amplifies the antenna signal from the roof-mounted aerial before it reaches the audio head unit, supporting digital (DAB) and analogue radio reception. It's fitted to the Discovery 4 (2010-2016) and Freelander 2 (2006-2014).
Which vehicles and VINs does this amplifier fit?
It fits the Discovery 4 (2010-2016) between VIN AA000001 and BA999999, and the Freelander 2 (2006-2014) up to VIN CH999999. Check your VIN falls in the right range before ordering.
How do I identify the correct aerial amplifier?
This amplifier is identified by its green housing with a single-wire connector. Land Rover used more than one aerial amplifier across these models, so match the green, single-wire version to avoid ordering the wrong variant.
