How many exhaust clamps do I need?
Exhaust clamps are typically needed at each pipe joint, so the quantity depends on how many sections you're separating. On the TDi Defender this clamp is used front and rear, so a full system repair often needs more than one. It's sold individually.
Should I reuse the old clamp or replace it?
Replace the exhaust clamp rather than reuse it whenever you separate a corroded joint. Old clamps typically seize and distort once disturbed, and a stretched clamp won't seal the slip joint properly. A fresh clamp helps avoid an exhaust leak at the connection.
