De beugel wordt tussen het motorblok en de rubberen motorsteun vastgeschroefd, waardoor het gewicht van de motor naar het subframe wordt overgebracht terwijl de steun trillingen van de carrosserie isoleert. Het positioneert de motor en handhaaft de uitlijning van de aandrijflijn onder belasting.
