The coolant overflow hose sits in the engine cooling system between the expansion tank and the cooling circuit. It is moulded to its installed routing so it clears surrounding engine bay ancillaries without chafing or kinking.
What are the signs the coolant overflow hose needs replacing?
Replace the coolant overflow hose when the rubber has hardened or cracked or where seepage is causing coolant loss. A failing hose can also let air be drawn into the coolant passages.
