Frequently asked questions

What is this rivet used for?
This rivet is a body fixing that secures the rear cab panel and sliding side window frame to the body structure on the Land Rover Defender. It's supplied individually and fits Defenders from 1987 to 2016.
Can this rivet be reused?
No. A rivet is destroyed when it's drilled out to remove the panel, so it must be renewed rather than refitted. Order enough new rivets to replace every one you drill out when refitting the Defender rear cab panel or sliding window.
How many rivets are needed?
This rivet is sold individually, so count the fixings on the rear cab panel or sliding side window frame and order to match. Typically several are used per panel, so buy a few spare to cover any drilled out during removal.
