De snelheidssensor voor het achterwiel leest de passerende tanden van de excitering (reluctor) ring terwijl het wiel draait en stuurt het resulterende rotatiesnelheidssignaal naar de ABS-regeleenheid. De regeleenheid vergelijkt alle vier de wielen om een dreigende blokkering te detecteren en past de remdruk dienovereenkomstig aan.

Een defecte of vervuilde sensor activeert vaak het ABS-waarschuwingslampje en schakelt de antiblokkeerfunctie op dat circuit uit.

The rear ABS sensor is the wheel speed sensor that reads the passing teeth of the exciter (reluctor) ring as the wheel turns. It feeds the rotational-speed signal to the ABS control unit, which compares all four wheels to detect impending lock-up and modulate brake pressure. This is a Bearmach OEM sensor.
Which Range Rover does this rear ABS sensor fit, and what is AMR3314?
This rear ABS sensor fits the Range Rover Classic with the 4-wheel anti-lock braking system, from VIN JA610294 onward. It's interchangeable with Land Rover reference AMR3314. Confirm your chassis number falls in range, as earlier Classics without the 4-wheel ABS system use a different setup.
What are the symptoms of a failed rear ABS sensor?
A failed or contaminated rear ABS sensor commonly triggers the ABS warning lamp and disables anti-lock function on that circuit. Typical causes include debris on the sensor tip, a damaged reluctor ring or a broken signal wire. Normal braking continues, but anti-lock on that wheel is lost.
