Frequently asked questions

What is the DA2071 rear bumperette and what does it do?
The DA2071 is a pair of tubular rear bumperettes that bolt to the rear crossmember on a Land Rover Defender (up to 2016) and Series 2 and 3. They shield the rear body corners and rear lamps from knocks during off-road work and tight parking. The tubular bars carry a black protective coating.
How many bumperettes are in the kit, and do I need anything else to fit them?
This kit includes two bumperettes, one for each rear corner, for a complete rear-end fit. Mounting bolts aren't supplied, so you'll typically reuse the original crossmember fixings or source bolts to suit the existing mounting holes.
Where do the bumperettes mount on the vehicle?
The bumperettes mount to the rear crossmember, sitting either side of the rear lights. On a Defender or Series vehicle they bracket the rear corners, taking impacts that would otherwise reach the body panels or the lamp units.
What's the difference between the tubular DA2071 and the plain GA2071 bumperettes?
The DA2071 uses a tubular bar design for a chunkier wrap-around profile, while the GA2071 is the standard pressed bumperette. Both bolt to the rear crossmember and fit the same models. Pick the tubular version for a more rugged look and extra corner coverage.
