What is the GA3166 swivel kit for?
The GA3166 is a full overhaul kit for one front swivel housing on ABS-equipped Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic vehicles. It includes the swivel ball, upper pin, bearing, oil seal, retaining plate and shims for a complete rebuild of one side.
How many GA3166 kits are needed for a full overhaul?
One kit covers one side of the front axle, so two GA3166 kits are needed to overhaul both swivel housings.
How do I know if my vehicle has the ABS swivel configuration?
Check whether your vehicle has ABS fitted as standard. If it doesn't, the non-ABS equivalent GA3165 kit is the correct part, since the ABS and non-ABS swivel kits aren't interchangeable.
What's the difference between the GA3166 and GA3166P?
The GA3166 includes a new swivel ball, while the GA3166P repair kit omits it and relies on your existing ball still being serviceable. Both are built for ABS-equipped Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.
