What is the DA240740S brake hose kit for?
The DA240740S is a stainless braided brake hose set for the ABS Range Rover Classic, supplied in +40mm extended lengths. It replaces the flexible brake hoses in the hydraulic circuit with a PTFE inner and stainless steel overbraid, giving a firmer pedal than plain rubber hoses.
Which Range Rover Classics does this fit?
This kit fits the Range Rover Classic from 1992 to 1994, the ABS models with metric brake fittings (RRC92 on). Confirm your vehicle has ABS and metric fittings before ordering, as earlier Classics and non-ABS cars use different hose sets that are not interchangeable.
Why are these hoses +40mm longer than standard?
The +40mm length suits vehicles running raised suspension, where standard hoses can be too short for the increased axle travel and articulation. On a lifted vehicle a standard hose can pull tight at full droop. Choose this set only if your suspension lift needs the extra length.
Are the brake hose clips included in the kit?
No, the brake hose retaining clips are not included and are ordered separately. The clips secure the hose ends to their brackets. It's worth ordering fresh clips with the hoses, as the originals are commonly corroded and can break during removal.
