The parking sensor is an ultrasonic sensor for the Park Distance Control (parking aid) system. Mounted in the bumper, it sends and receives ultrasonic pulses to measure distance to nearby obstacles, feeding the parking aid module that warns the driver audibly and visually. Fitted across several Land Rover models.
