What does this cylinder head gasket do?
This cylinder head gasket seals the joint between the right-hand cylinder head and the engine block on the 3.0 DOHC supercharged GDI V6 petrol engine. It contains combustion pressure and seals the coolant and oil passages that cross the head-to-block face on the right bank.
Is this the left-hand or right-hand gasket?
This is the right-hand (RH) bank gasket. The V6's left-hand head uses a different gasket, so check which bank you're working on before ordering. If you're doing both cylinder heads, you'll need the matching left-hand gasket as well.
Which models does it fit?
It fits the 3.0 supercharged V6 petrol in the Discovery 4 and Discovery 5, Range Rover L405 (2013-2022), Range Rover Sport L494 (2014-2022) and Range Rover Velar. The L405 fits from VIN K2000001, so confirm your engine and VIN before ordering.
What are the signs of a failed head gasket?
A failed head gasket typically shows as coolant loss, white exhaust smoke, oil and coolant mixing, or lost compression on the right bank. It's a genuine Land Rover gasket and should be renewed whenever the right cylinder head is removed.
