The KKU106150L is the right-hand side engine mounting bracket for the Freelander 1's 1.8 K16 petrol engine. It bolts to the right side of the engine and carries the engine mount, transferring engine load into the vehicle structure.
Why would the RH engine bracket need replacing?
The bracket itself rarely fails on its own, but its mounting ears can crack or the holes elongate if the rubber engine mount attached to it has already perished and let the engine move under load. Replace the bracket if it's cracked, bent, or worn oversize at the fixing holes.
