What does the LR001144 front bump stop do?
The LR001144 is a front suspension bump stop, part of the front strut and coil spring assembly. The moulded rubber fits over the strut piston rod beneath the upper mounting and limits suspension travel on compression, absorbing the end of the damper stroke so the strut does not bottom out.
How many front bump stops are needed per vehicle?
Two front bump stops are fitted per vehicle, one at each front corner. Replacing both at the same time keeps the front suspension balanced side to side. This part covers the Discovery Sport, Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque L538.
Does this bump stop fit cars with adaptive damping?
This bump stop fits vehicles built without adaptive or magnetic damping. Cars with the Magnetic Damping System or Adaptive Damping use a different strut arrangement, so check your suspension specification before ordering.
