The LR025515G is an engine oil cooler for the 2.0L 16V petrol engine. It uses coolant to control engine oil temperature. It fits Discovery Sport, Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494 and Evoque L538.
Does this fit every Freelander 2?
On Freelander 2 this oil cooler applies up to VIN CH000001, per the fitment note, so check your VIN. It fits the 2.0L petrol engine only and does not suit diesel models.
What are the signs the oil cooler has failed?
A failing oil cooler usually leaks or lets oil and coolant mix, showing as contaminated fluids. On the 2.0L petrol engines it's typically replaced when internal seals fail or the core corrodes.
