De Hoofdremcilinder is de hydraulische actuator aan het begin van het remsysteem. Gemonteerd aan de voorkant van de rembekrachtiger, zet deze de rempedaal kracht om in hydraulische druk en verdeelt deze via de dubbele-circuit leidingen naar de voor- en achterremmen.
