Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

What does the front pipe exhaust mounting do?
The front pipe exhaust mounting is a moulded rubber mounting that suspends the front section of the exhaust from the vehicle body. It supports the pipe's weight while isolating engine and exhaust vibration, and its flexibility lets the system move under thermal expansion without transmitting noise into the cabin.
Which Freelander 1 engines does this exhaust mounting fit?
This exhaust mounting fits the Land Rover Freelander 1 (1996-2006) across the 1.8L K16 petrol, 2.0L TCIE diesel and 2.5L KV6 petrol engines. It locates the front pipe to the body, so it's common to those exhaust installations.
How do I know the exhaust mounting needs replacing?
A perished or split exhaust mounting typically lets the front pipe sag, which shows as a knock or rattle from underneath, especially over bumps, and can allow the exhaust to contact the body. Replacing the rubber mounting restores support and quietens the system.
