Frequently asked questions

What is the WQB100480L fuel pump used for?
This remote-mounted electric fuel pump delivers fuel along the feed line to the engine's injection system on the Freelander 1 (1996-2006) TD4 (M47) 2.0L diesel. Unlike an in-tank unit it mounts externally, downstream of the tank pick-up. It's supplied less separator.
What does 'less separator' mean for this pump?
It means the fuel and water separator assembly isn't part of this unit. On the Freelander 1 TD4 the separator is carried over from your vehicle or ordered separately. So when fitting this pump you reuse or source the separator rather than expecting it in the box.
Where is this fuel pump mounted?
It's remote-mounted, sitting externally downstream of the tank pick-up rather than inside the tank. On the Freelander 1 TD4 it feeds the injection system along the fuel line. Confirm your vehicle uses the remote-mounted arrangement rather than an in-tank pump.
