Pakking voorhuis - LT77 5-versnellingsbak

Deze pakking dicht de verbinding af tussen het voorhuis en de hoofdkast van de LT77 handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak. Het voorkomt lekkage van transmissieolie bij het contactvlak van het voorhuis.

Vervanging is vereist telkens wanneer het voorhuis wordt verwijderd - bijvoorbeeld tijdens werkzaamheden aan de ingaande as of het voorlager - of wanneer een olielekkage wordt herleid tot deze verbinding. De pakking moet worden vervangen in plaats van hergebruikt om een betrouwbare, oliedichte afdichting te garanderen.

What is the LT77 Front Housing Gasket (FRC6105)?
The Front Housing Gasket FRC6105 seals the joint between the front housing and the main casing on the LT77 five-speed manual gearbox. It stops transmission oil leaking at the front housing mating face. Fitted to Land Rover Defender 1987-2006, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.
When should the FRC6105 front housing gasket be replaced?
Replace the FRC6105 gasket whenever the LT77 front housing is removed, such as during input shaft or front bearing work, or when an oil leak is traced to this joint. On these gearboxes it's also supplied as part of a transfer box gasket kit.
Can the LT77 front housing gasket be reused?
The FRC6105 front housing gasket should not be reused. Gaskets like this take a set once compressed, so refitting an old one typically leads to an oil leak at the LT77 front housing joint. Fit a new gasket every time the housing is disturbed.
