Vliegwielbout voor de Td5 2.5L 5-cilinder turbodiesel met automatische transmissie. Deze bout bevestigt de aandrijfplaat aan de achterste flens van de krukas.

Vastgedraaid om de aandrijfplaat tegen de krukas te klemmen, draagt de bout het volledige motorkoppel door de verbinding. Deze bouten worden vaak vernieuwd telkens wanneer de aandrijfplaat wordt verwijderd.

What is the FTC4738 flywheel bolt used for?
The FTC4738 secures the drive plate, or flywheel, to the rear flange of the Td5 crankshaft. Torqued to clamp the plate against the crankshaft, it carries the full engine torque through the joint. It's a genuine Land Rover fixing for the 2.5L Td5 five-cylinder turbo diesel.
Which Land Rovers does the FTC4738 bolt fit?
The FTC4738 fits the Defender (1987-2006) and Discovery 2 (1998-2004), both with the 2.5L Td5 turbo diesel. On automatic Discovery 2 cars it secures the drive plate to the crankshaft, and it's the genuine Land Rover crankshaft bolt for that joint.
Do the drive plate bolts need replacing every time?
