The RTC7171 needle bearing supports the overdrive clutch sleeve on the front of the mainshaft in a Fairey overdrive unit. It lets the sleeve slide and rotate freely as the overdrive engages and disengages. It sits at the front of the mainshaft inside the overdrive.
Does this bearing fit a TORO overdrive?
No, this needle bearing is specific to the Fairey-pattern overdrive and isn't interchangeable with the TORO overdrive. It also doesn't suit the Range Rover or 101 LT95 gearbox. Confirm you have a Fairey overdrive before ordering, as the internals differ between makes.
