The STC3860 is the oil pump gear for the LT85 five-speed manual gearbox. The LT85's internal oil pump circulates lubrication through the transmission under load, and this gear drives that pump. It keeps oil pressure up inside the gearbox to protect the bearings and gear sets.
What happens if the LT85 oil pump gear wears out?
A worn or damaged LT85 oil pump gear reduces oil circulation inside the gearbox, leading to poor lubrication. Typical symptoms are increased gearbox noise and accelerated wear of the bearings and gear sets. Renewing the pump gear restores proper oil flow and helps prevent further internal damage.
