What is the TUO100100 layshaft?
The TUO100100 layshaft is the cluster gear shaft inside the R380 five-speed manual gearbox. It carries the gears that transfer drive from the input shaft to the mainshaft. Fits Defender (1987-2006), Discovery 2 (1998-2004) and Range Rover P38 (1994-2001) with the R380.
Which gearbox does this layshaft fit?
This layshaft fits the R380 manual gearbox only, as used in the Defender, Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38. It won't fit the earlier LT77 gearbox. Confirm your gearbox is an R380 before ordering.
What are the signs of a worn layshaft?
