Deze 2,5 m lange band wordt om een boomstam of ander vast ankerpunt gewikkeld om een veilige bevestiging te bieden voor een lierkabel of sleepkabel. De brede geweven band verdeelt de belasting om de bast en de boom te beschermen, terwijl de band de spanning opvangt. Draagvermogen van 3 ton.

De beschermer is een ankerlus en is niet bedoeld voor gebruik als sleepband (kinetisch) voor het lostrekken van voertuigen.

The tree trunk protector is a 2.5m webbing strap that wraps around a tree or fixed anchor to give a winch line a secure attachment point. The wide woven webbing spreads the load to protect the bark. It's rated to a 3-tonne working load limit.
Is this a snatch (kinetic) recovery strap?
No. This 3-tonne protector is an anchor sling, not a kinetic snatch strap. It's meant to stay static around the anchor point while the winch line takes the strain. It isn't designed to stretch, so don't use it for shock-loaded kinetic recovery.
What is the strap rated to?
The strap has a 3-tonne working load limit, a 21-tonne breaking strength and a 7:1 safety factor. The shorter 2.5m length suits smaller trunks and tighter wraps. Match your recovery gear to the load and stay within the working load limit.
