What is the towing hitch pin?
The towing hitch pin is the 25mm locking pin for the Dixon Bate ball, jaw and pin hitch, retaining the coupling jaw closed around the tow eye. It is supplied with the R-clip, lanyard and securing tab.
Which hitch does the 25mm pin fit?
It fits the Dixon Bate 3.5 tonne ball, jaw and pin hitch, including the RTC8159 ball and pin hitch assembly, replacing the original pin on that hitch.
What comes with the pin?
It is supplied with the R-clip, the lanyard and the securing tab that bolts to the tow bar, so the pin stays retained and cannot be lost in use.
Can the hitch pin be reused or should it be replaced?
The 25mm pin is a safety-critical towing part. Replace it if it is worn, bent or the locking clip is damaged, since a failed pin can release the coupling under load.
