The ERC1561G is the camshaft retaining plate for the four-cylinder engine. It bolts to the front face of the cylinder block behind the camshaft gear, locating the camshaft axially and controlling its endfloat so the camshaft can't move fore and aft.

When is the camshaft retaining plate replaced?
