What does the GA1131KIT door hinge bolt kit fix?
It renews the door hinge pivots with new stainless steel hinge pins, inserts and washers. As the original pin and insert wear, the door drops on its hinges and the striker stops lining up with the latch. This kit restores the pivot without replacing the hinge castings.
How many kits do I need for one door?
One kit covers a single front door hinge pivot. If both hinges on a door, or hinges on multiple doors, show wear, order one kit per hinge so all the pins, inserts and washers are matched sets.
Which vehicles fit this hinge bolt kit?
It fits the Defender built from 1983 to 2016, covering both the pre-2007 and 2007-2016 production, plus the Series III. It does not fit the current Defender introduced in 2020.
