Verdelerkap voor de Lucas verdeler die op de viercilinder benzinemotor is gemonteerd, onderdeel van het ontstekingssysteem.

De kap zit over het verdelerhuis en geleidt de hoogspanningsstroom van de rotor naar elke bougiekabel, waardoor de vonk in de juiste ontstekingsvolgorde naar de cilinders wordt verdeeld. What does the distributor cap do?
The distributor cap seats over the Lucas distributor and carries the high-tension spark from the rotor arm to each spark plug lead in firing order. The central king-lead terminal feeds coil output to the rotor beneath. It's part of the ignition system on the four-cylinder petrol engine.
Which engines does this distributor cap fit?
This cap fits the four-cylinder petrol engine with the Lucas distributor used on the Series II, IIA, and III, and the 2.25L and 2.5L petrol Defender. It won't suit diesel or six-cylinder distributors, so confirm you have the Lucas four-cylinder setup.
What are the symptoms of a worn distributor cap?
A cracked or internally tracked cap causes misfires, rough running, and hard starting. Carbon tracking inside the cap lets the spark jump to the wrong terminal. It's renewed as part of routine ignition servicing on these Lucas-equipped petrol engines.
