Frequently asked questions

How do tyre balancing beads work?
Balancing beads are loose granules poured inside the tyre that settle opposite the heavy point as the wheel spins, balancing the assembly dynamically instead of relying on fixed weights clamped to the rim.
How much do I need per tyre?
GA5220 is supplied as an 8kg bulk tub so you can measure out the correct dose per tyre based on tyre size and weight, rather than buying pre-measured single-tyre packs.
Why use beads instead of standard wheel weights?
Beads keep redistributing as the tread wears and as mud, snow or water builds up and sheds on the tyre, so balance is maintained continuously. That's why they're mainly used on off-road and heavy all-terrain tyres rather than fixed clip-on weights.
