Gaskabel voor de gasklepbediening, verbindt het gaspedaal met het gasklepmechanisme van de motor.

De kabel brengt pedaalbeweging over naar de gasklepbediening - opent de gasklep bij benzinemotoren, of beweegt de bedieningshendel van de injectiepomp bij dieselmotoren - zodat de input van de bestuurder direct wordt omgezet in motortoerental. Een versleten of uitgerekte kabel geeft een vaag of stroef pedaal en wordt als complete eenheid vernieuwd.
