Frequently asked questions

What is the LR132809 front brake disc?
The LR132809 is a 363mm front brake disc for the New Defender (L663, 2020 on) and Discovery 5 (2017 on). It locates on the front hub and provides the friction surface for the front caliper. It isn't handed, so the same disc serves both sides of the axle.
How many front discs do I need?
Front brake discs are supplied individually, so order two for a complete axle set. Discs should be renewed in axle pairs, and with new pads where the friction material is worn, so both front corners generate matching braking torque.
When should the front brake discs be replaced?
Replace the 363mm front discs when the friction surface is worn, scored or glazed, ideally alongside new pads. Renewing both sides together keeps braking balanced across the axle on the New Defender and Discovery 5.
