Frequently asked questions

What's included in the LR032527G timing belt kit?
The LR032527G is an OEM timing belt kit that includes the timing belt and water pump for the 2.2L CR DI diesel (DW12) engine. Both parts are replaced together as a set during a timing belt service.
Which models does this kit fit?
This kit fits the Discovery Sport (2015 on), Freelander 2 (2006-2014) and Range Rover Evoque L538 (2012-2018) with the 2.2L CR DI diesel (DW12) engine. Confirm your vehicle has the 2.2 diesel before ordering.
Why is the water pump replaced with the timing belt?
The water pump is driven by the timing belt on the DW12 engine, so it's replaced at the same time. Renewing both together avoids a second strip-down later if the pump fails, since the labour to reach them is shared.
Is fitting the timing belt a DIY job?
Fitting a timing belt kit is a specialist job on the 2.2 diesel. It needs the engine timing locked with the correct tools and precise belt tensioning. Incorrect fitting can cause serious engine damage, so it's usually left to a workshop.
