What is the Coolant Hose and what does it do?

The Coolant Hose carries engine coolant between the thermostat housing and the water pump on the supercharged 3.0L V6 and 5.0L V8 petrol engines. It forms part of the engine cooling circuit that regulates operating temperature, and incorporates a moulded connector at the water pump end.

Which vehicles take this coolant hose?
