What does the bonnet insulation clip do?
The bonnet insulation clip retains the sound-and-heat insulation pad to the underside of the bonnet, holding it flat against the inner panel. That keeps the pad damping engine noise and shielding the bonnet from under-bonnet heat. It is used across several Land Rover models.
How many clips do I need?
Bonnet insulation pads are held by several clips spaced around the panel, so a full pad usually needs multiple clips. Count the fixing points on your bonnet before ordering, as ageing clips often break on removal and it is worth renewing them all at once.
