It carries coolant between the engine and the radiator and expansion circuit, pre-formed to clear underbonnet components and hold its shape under pressure and heat.
Why replace a moulded coolant hose?
Moulded coolant hoses harden and craze with age and heat cycling, and a swollen, cracked or soft hose can split and lose coolant, risking overheating. Replace it if it fails a squeeze test and check the retaining clamps at the same time.
