De vulring stelt de axiale speling van de tussenas in de LT95-versnellingsbakbehuizing in, waardoor de axiale positie wordt vastgezet zodat de tandwielen correct in elkaar grijpen en de lagerspeling binnen de tolerantie blijft. Selectieve vulringen van verschillende diktes worden gebruikt om de axiale speling van de tussenas binnen de specificatie te brengen bij het bouwen of reviseren van de versnellingsbak.
