Koppelingsplaat & -huis vormen de aangedreven en klemmende elementen van de koppeling, en bevinden zich tussen het vliegwiel van de motor en de ingaande as van de versnellingsbak op de 4.0L en 4.6L V8 EFI benzinemotor met handgeschakelde versnellingsbak.

Het koppelingshuis (drukgroep) wordt aan het vliegwiel vastgeschroefd en klemt de koppelingsplaat tegen het vliegwieloppervlak, terwijl de koppelingsplaat de frictiebekleding draagt en de aandrijving van de motor naar de ingaande as van de versnellingsbak overbrengt. Het indrukken van het koppelingspedaal trekt de drukgroep terug om de aandrijving te onderbreken tijdens het schakelen.

Deze assemblage omvat het koppelingshuis (drukgroep) en de koppelingsplaat (frictieplaat).
