Kruisasse differentieelrondsel bevindt zich in de Salisbury differentieelhuis en gaat door de differentieelbehuizing heen om de differentiële (spin)rondseltandwielen te dragen.

De rondseltandwielen draaien op deze as en grijpen aan met de satellietwielen, waardoor de twee halve assen met verschillende snelheden door bochten kunnen draaien terwijl ze de aandrijving overbrengen. Het zit vast in de drager en maakt deel uit van het Salisbury differentieel met vier rondsels.
