What does the crankshaft rear seal housing do?
The crankshaft rear seal housing mounts to the rear of the cylinder block and carries the rear crankshaft oil seal, sealing the crankshaft where it exits the block on the transmission side of the Jaguar 5.0L V8 (AJ133) petrol engine and retaining oil at the rear main journal.
Does it come with the rear crankshaft seal fitted?
Yes, this housing is supplied with the rear crankshaft oil seal already fitted, so you install it as a complete unit. That gives correct seal-to-housing alignment out of the box. Fits the Jaguar 5.0L V8 (AJ133) petrol, NA and supercharged.
How do I confirm it fits my XK?
For the XK (X150), this rear seal housing applies from VIN B32753, so check your chassis number against that break before ordering. The XF (2009-2015) and XJ (from 2010) also take it with the 5.0L V8 petrol engine.
