What is the DA2400150S brake hose kit for?
The DA2400150S is a stainless braided brake hose set for the Land Rover Defender 90. It replaces the flexible hoses that carry fluid from the body to the axles and calipers. Each hose has a PTFE inner with a stainless steel overbraid, and the hoses are made 150mm longer than standard.
Why are these hoses 150mm longer than standard?
The 150mm extra length suits Defenders running raised or lifted suspension, where the standard hoses can be too short for the increased axle travel. On a lifted vehicle, a standard-length hose can pull tight at full droop. Only choose the +150mm set if your suspension lift needs the extra length.
What do stainless braided hoses do differently to rubber?
Stainless braided hoses resist expansion under pressure better than plain rubber, which gives a firmer brake pedal and more consistent response. The PTFE inner and stainless overbraid also resist abrasion and corrosion. The braid protects the hose from stone and trail damage on off-road vehicles.
