Thermoschakelaar is een temperatuurgestuurde schakelaar in het motorkoelsysteem die de werking van de elektrische radiateurkoelventilator regelt.

Deze is in het koelsysteem geschroefd, detecteert de koelvloeistoftemperatuur en sluit zijn contacten zodra een vooraf ingestelde drempel is bereikt, waardoor de koelventilator wordt ingeschakeld.
