Brand Jaguar

Fitment Notes JAGUAR — Nickel spark plug, 5.3L & 6.0L V12. Fits XJ Series III saloon 1979-1992, XJ12 (XJ40/XJ81), XJ (X300) 6.0L, XJS 5.3/6.0L.

Frequently asked questions

What does the EBC4021 spark plug do?
This spark plug ignites the compressed air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber of the V12 petrol engine. The high-voltage spark jumps the electrode gap to start each power stroke. One plug is fitted per cylinder.
How many spark plugs does the V12 engine need?
The V12 petrol engine takes a set of twelve, one plug per cylinder. Plugs are normally renewed as a complete set so ignition timing and burn stay consistent across all cylinders. Replacing only some can leave a rough idle or misfire.
When should these spark plugs be replaced?
Replace these spark plugs at the interval in your vehicle's service schedule. A worn electrode gap weakens the spark and can cause misfires on the V12 petrol engine. Renew all twelve together. Consult your service schedule for the correct interval.
