Thermostaat voor de 2.5L 300TDi dieselmotor, werkend in het thermostaathuis aan de bovenkant van het koelsysteem.

De thermostaat regelt de koelvloeistofstroom tussen de motor en de radiator op basis van de koelvloeistoftemperatuur. Onder de openingstemperatuur wordt de koelvloeistof via de bypass-leiding geleid om de opwarmtijd te versnellen en een constante bedrijfstemperatuur te handhaven; zodra de thermostaat opent, laat deze de volledige koelvloeistofcirculatie door de radiator toe.
