Luchtkanaal van de verse-luchtinlaat van de 2.5-liter TDi-motor.

Het leidt de inkomende lucht via het inlaatsysteem naar het luchtfilterhuis, waardoor een afgesloten pad ontstaat dat de inlaatlucht gescheiden houdt van warmte en water onder de motorkap. Het handhaven van een onbelemmerd, luchtdicht kanaal behoudt de volledige luchttoevoer naar het filter en de motor.

Een kanaal dat gespleten, ingeklapt of los is bij de verbindingen, laat ongefilterde lucht of water in de inlaat terechtkomen, dus het wordt vernieuwd wanneer het gescheurd, vervormd of niet langer afdichtend is bij de verbindingen.
