Frequently asked questions

What is the ETC5752 turbo hose for?
The ETC5752 turbo hose is the charge air transfer hose connecting the intercooler outlet to the inlet manifold on the Defender 2.5L turbo diesel. After the turbo compresses the air and the intercooler cools it, this hose carries the cooled, pressurised charge into the engine.
How do I know the turbo hose needs replacing?
Replace the turbo hose when it shows cracking, softening or splits, particularly at the end connections. A split or perished hose leaks boost pressure, which cuts engine performance and increases exhaust smoke. A secure, split-free hose is essential for the 2.5L turbo diesel to make full boost.
Which Defender does the ETC5752 hose fit?
The ETC5752 turbo hose fits the Land Rover Defender with the 2.5L turbo diesel (2.5TD) engine. It's the charge air hose between the intercooler and inlet manifold. Confirm your engine is the turbo diesel, as naturally aspirated diesels don't run this intercooler hose.
