Voorbumperversteviging is de structurele dwarsbalk die het dragende frame van de voorbumperconstructie vormt.

Deze wordt aan de voorkant van het voertuig aan de chassisbalken bevestigd en draagt de buitenste bumperafdekking, waardoor de stijve impactstructuur achter de fascia wordt gevormd. Als structureel onderdeel bepaalt het ook de locatie van de bumperafdekking en eventuele bijbehorende bevestigingspunten.

Vervanging is vereist wanneer de versteviging is vervormd door frontale impact of corrosie, om de correcte bumpergeometrie en kreukelzone te herstellen.
