The LR044299 is the secondary rear door weatherstrip seal for the Discovery 4 (2010-2016). It mounts on the body aperture rather than the door and forms a secondary weather barrier alongside the primary door seal, sealing out wind, water and road noise when the rear door is closed.
Is this the seal that fits the door or the body?
This is the on-body secondary seal, so it fits the rear door aperture on the Discovery 4 body, not the door itself. It works alongside the primary door-mounted seal. Check whether you need the body-side secondary seal or the primary door seal before ordering, as they're different parts.
