Frequently asked questions

What is this suspension arm and what does it do?
This is the front lower suspension arm, rear position, right-hand side, for the long-wheelbase Range Rover L405. It locates the lower end of the wheel knuckle against the subframe, sets the lower suspension geometry, and feeds braking, cornering and road loads into the chassis. It comes with its ball joint and pivot bushes.
Which vehicle does it fit?
This lower arm fits the Range Rover L405 2013-2022 in long-wheelbase form, right-hand side, from VIN LK. It's specific to the LWB body, so confirm your wheelbase and that you need the right-hand side before ordering, as left and right arms differ.
What does it come with and what's needed after fitting?
The arm is supplied complete with its integral ball joint and bonded pivot bushes, so the whole lower link is renewed in one part. Front wheel alignment should be checked and reset after fitting, since replacing the arm changes the lower suspension geometry.
What are the signs this suspension arm needs replacing?
A worn front lower arm typically shows as knocking over bumps, vague or wandering steering, and uneven front tyre wear, usually from a failed ball joint or split pivot bushes. Because it carries braking and cornering loads, a badly worn arm should be replaced rather than left in service.
